At the School of Education and Health Sciences, we're building learning communities through critical reflection. By combining educational theory and practice, we prepare graduates who can reach the highest quality of learning, leadership and scholarship. Graduate candidates are expected to actively question the purposes of schooling and to discern the meaning of what educators as learners are expected to do in order to fulfill their responsibilities to the profession.

Clinical and field experiences are essential to the graduate program.
We embrace diversity to promote social justice.
Opportunities for community outreach include the Center for Catholic Education, the Center for Early Learning and Dayton Early College Academy.

As a student in the Interdisciplinary Educational Studies program at the University of Dayton, you’ll have the flexibility to chart your own path to success and design a program to meet your diverse professional goals.

Candidates must select concentration coursework from both the School of Education and Health Sciences and at least one department outside SEHS.
